As promised here’s my update after my 2nd fit test! This is right where I quit the first time I tried Insanity and trust me I’m sticking it through this time. I’ve been pushing hard so I could really see some improvement on my numbers and I’m happy to report an uptick across the board. Check it out:

Current Stats
As of today I’ve done 17 workouts and they’re still hard as hell but I’m able to push harder without that familiar feeling of wanting to puke. Yesterday pushed through “Pure Cardio & Cardio Abs” and I definitely feel it right now. Here’s a breakdown of the workouts since I started.
- Fit Test x2
- Plyometric Cardio Circuit x4
- Cardio Power & Resistance x3
- Cardio Recovery x2
- Pure Cardio x4
- Cardio Abs x2 (same day as Pure Cardio)
No lost weight yet but I’ve been melting fat like butter! The most obvious are my chest and oblique’s. My legs didn’t have any fat to begin with so I’m starting to look like a pro soccer player. Tonight is “Cardio Recovery” and tomorrow it’s time to jump back into “Cardio Power & Resistance”
How’s it feel?
Overall I’m feeling amazing, especially right after the workout. Usually get a 2 or 3 hour rush and it slowly mellows throughout the rest of the day. Missed one workout last week so I made it up the next day cramming two session in (one in the morning and one at night) and I was on cloud 9 for a bit… not so much the next day though.
Started working out at night regularly this week and I have no problem falling asleep and getting a full 8 in. Looking forward to the recovery session tonight to help get rid of some of that soreness from digging deep during the “Pure Cardio & Cardio Abs.”
Diet Update
For the most part my diet has been horrible! Consistently way under my caloric goal of 2,317 and hovering closer to 1400. The fat portion is way too high and I’ve basically been eating my normal crap diet. Yesterday I finally decided to hit the grocery store and pick up some decent real food so going forward the focus on the diet will improve.
To help stay motivated I created a website to build out my diet. There’s nothing there yet but I’m working on a tool to help build a 60-day diet based on food preferences and weight loss goals. I call it my Insanity Workout Diet and you can check it out but it’s pretty much an empty site for now. My goal is to have the tool running by the start of my 2nd month where I’ve heard the program really picks up.
That’s it for this week, I don’t have an updated picture right now so I’ll update this post during the week.
Thanks for reading,
Tom
